About the artist, Jean-Michel PONZIO:
When a former cinema digital special effects creator turns his hand to cartoons, it gives rise to a cult series in three volumes published by “Dargaud”: “le complexe du chimpanzé”. Since science fiction is not his sole subject field, he also produced the cartoon adaptation of the TV series, as well as the full-feature film (“Inju” by “Carabas”).
His work, based on real-life models, explains his reputation as one of the leading ultra-realist artists of our time. “Genetiks” published by “Futuropolis” is proof of this.
